Suzanne F. Stevens, CSP

Hi! I’m Suzanne. My (short) story.

Living my DREAM (so I thought)

Since 2000, I have worked with leaders and teams on five continents to influence communication, differentiate themselves and organizations, and engage more people, colleagues, and customers.

My clients included organizations in media, pharma, manufacturing, public relations, advertising, event management, association management, finance, insurance, engineering, franchising, and non-profits.

Since I was 19, there were two things I believed. One, I was put on this earth to make a difference. Secondly, I was terrified of public speaking, so obviously, that was the method I needed to master to make my impact.

For fifteen years, I spoke and empowered people to lead, win business, and connect, yet I wasn’t feeling meaning in my life.

Leaving (almost) EVERYTHING behind

In March 2010, my husband (Mike) and I  started an adventure of a lifetime. We embarked on a journey with a mission to create an initiative to cultivate, celebrate and inspire future leaders in emerging countries for the YouMeWe Amplified Podcast.

After interviewing over seventy pioneering African women from seventeen countries, we were awe-inspiring.

Each of these leaders demonstrated perseverance, tenacity, belief, and unwavering dedication to uplift the lives of others through their contributions to their community, country, and continent.

I felt more inspired and energized than I had in years. Now, what to do with my newly found perspectives on leadership and creating a social impact?

The PIVOT (before all the cool kids started to)

YouMeWe AdvantageI chose to leave all the security of multi-course bookings on how to win business to focus on the benefits of baking social initiatives in your organization.

Meaning realized.

With a rebrand to YouMeWe Social Impact Group, I dove deep into research, development, and seeking trailblazers who consciously contribute to the marginalized, vulnerable, and underrepresented communities by baking a social initiative into their business. These are Conscious Leaders, and they transform how business is done, from how they lead, who they collaborate with, and who they serve.

Through my interviews with Conscious Leaders, youmewefoundation.org, and other service initiatives, I was honored to receive the TIAW World of Difference Award and several volunteer awards, including The Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers, the highest Canadian Volunteer honor bestowed by the Governor General of Canada, to the pinnacle Philanthropy Award received by my professional association.

And yet, momentum for the new business direction was slow. It felt like I was pushing a boulder uphill.

Then, finally, my book was done! Make Your Contribution Count for you • me • we,  inspired by Conscious Leaders in 25 countries. This intensely researched book consumed a few years, particularly in 2019. Finally, we were ready to launch on International Women’s Day – March 8th, 2020!

Yup, the week before Canada shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

So many of us struggled during this time. So, I’m not special.

The problem was, I didn’t realize I was struggling until I was stopped in my tracks.

Everything I was working toward was in question. My identity was fused with having a social impact.

I couldn’t seem to enjoy my progress. I was STUCK.

I was STUCK

I continued to stretch myself. I continuously learned. I researched organizations leading social change, amplifying difference-makers voices, and connecting with non-profits, charities, small businesses, institutions…

The more I did, the more STUCK I became.

Instead of retracting, I leaned into further stretching myself (although I feared I would break). But what was the alternative?

I invested several months (and money) in courses that, quite frankly I couldn’t afford. (The pandemic wasn’t kind to the events business).

I thought that by learning how to guide people to unlock their barriers to their potential, perhaps I would know how to unblock mine.

The TRANSFORMATION

I released a 30-year barrier that prevented me from being happy and living to my potential! Although I was aware of the block, I didn’t know how to remove it. But my unconscious, when brought to my consciousness, provided the path.

Realizing Conscious Leaders are radically responsible and self-aware and need this level of clarity and perspective to create an inclusive culture where there is high-trust, high-performance, and high-happiness — I dove deeper.

I became a certified Time Line Therapy (R), Hypnosis, Neurolinguistic Programming Practitioner (NLP), Breakthrough Protocol Coach, and Potential and Conscious Leadership Assessment Evaluator.

Whether you are STUCK like I was; or if you feel your potential is alluding you; or if you want to live a more calm, happier, connected life, there are proven tools to clear the path to realize your aspirations.
