Engage top talent by creating a culture of Inclusion
To engage diverse talent, leaders need to create a culture where colleagues feel safe and valued, and where there is an opportunity to grow and do meaningful work.
YouMeWe Social Impact Group hosted a five-part panel series called: Candid Conversations to promote Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at work and beyond. Advocates, business, and community leaders from 5 cohorts came together to share the barriers they face and how leaders can break down those obstacles to promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.
Check out the video below for a short montage of the opportunity to transform workplace cultures.
The opportunity to engage diverse talent
We have seen long-held biases brim to the surface throughout the last few years resulting in a divisive society. Businesses can no longer say platitudes. Leaders need to take action and create cultures where everyone is not only welcome but is offered the same opportunities as their counterparts. Through the wisdom from diverse cohorts, you will be inspired to take real action to engage diverse talent and promote inclusivity and belonging into your organization’s DNA.
On a personal note, as the producer and host, I had a front-row seat to these candid conversations, which were the highlight of my year. The panels spotlighted the role of allies while celebrating how diverse people can work together toward common objectives— if leaders create an inclusive culture. Their insights were consistent with the hundreds of interviews I have conducted with changemakers internationally. Now it is up to us to create a culture where everyone feels valued as their authentic self.
