This is an area that speaks to my value system, yet I continue to need to be more conscious of the words coming out of my mouth! I am better in print when I can proof myself 😉 We have a long way to go in uncovering our biases and working towards equality. Thank you for covering this subject.
So appreciate your comment Susan… over dinner tonight, my husband and I caught ourselves. It is a learned behaviour. Reminding ourselves helps.
Powerful message Suzanne, really brings consciousness to the impact of everyday communication. Awarness of our own unconscious bias is critical in our personal growth and bulding our communities. Thank- you for your insights!
